A prayer for destiny — spoken quietly, at the start of the day.

Before the noise begins, let me remember who I am.

Steady my hands for the work that is mine to do, and loosen my grip on the work that is not.

Where I have been waiting for a sign, give me courage instead. Where I have been striving alone, send me company.

Let me meet what today brings without pretending to be smaller than I was made to be.

And when the day is done, let me set it down gently, trusting that what is meant for me has not passed me by.
